Price, William. A New Plan of ye Great Town of Boston.
1743
An update of the Bonner map, it is created by the Boston cabinetmaker and merchant, who adds new streets, graphics, and information in the margins and ten leaves Bonner’s name off this revised edition. In the accompanying text, Price notes that there are 4,000 houses and 17 churches in Boston, which he calls, “[T]he largest, most populous and flourishing Town in the British Dominions in America.” The full title of the map is: A New Plan of ye Great Town of Boston in New England in America with the many Additional Buildings & New streets to the Year 1743.
